Licensed cannabis dispensaries in Reno, Nevada — Northern Nevada's cannabis hub. All CCB-verified.

Last verified: March 2026 · CCB Licensed Dispensaries

Reno is the center of Northern Nevada's cannabis market and the second-largest metro area in the state. With 5 licensed dispensaries, Reno offers a strong selection of both medical and recreational cannabis retailers. Unlike the tourist-heavy Las Vegas market, Reno's dispensaries tend to cater more to local residents and outdoor recreation visitors heading to Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the surrounding high desert.

Most Reno dispensaries are located along the Virginia Street and 2nd Street corridors, within easy reach of downtown Reno, the University of Nevada campus area, and the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Hours are generally 8 or 9 AM to 10 or 11 PM, with some locations staying open later. Mynt Cannabis on East 2nd Street is one of the longest-running dispensaries in Northern Nevada.

Visiting Reno?

Reno is a gateway to Lake Tahoe, world-class skiing, and the Burning Man festival. Visitors from California often cross the border specifically to purchase cannabis at Nevada prices and selection. Remember that transporting cannabis across state lines — even between two legal states — is a federal crime. Consume what you purchase in Nevada before returning to California. Cannabis is also prohibited on all federal land, including the Tahoe National Forest and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

Lake Tahoe Is Federal Land

Much of the land around Lake Tahoe is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Cannabis possession and use is illegal on all federal land, regardless of Nevada or California state law. Do not bring cannabis to federal beaches, campgrounds, or trails around the lake.
